John Green definitely hit a home run here. I haven't read of his books before but this was just getting a boatload of buzz before its pub date and I was compelled to read it. And I'm glad I did. TFIOS definitely made my list of books one shouldn't read in public places- unless you're a robot,

Thanks. Still figuring out if I want to use this or not. It's not like it saves me time since I have to create the image and sometimes I have more I want to say about a book.

Ah, Team Gale - good work! Nice to be in the minority :)

The only logic I can think for epilogues is to show that the characters aren't so emotionally scarred by their experiences that they can't go on to have a 'normal' life. I guess it's seen as more important in fiction aimed at young and possibly impressionable readers.

Yeah, I read two downer books in a row (this and The Fault in Our Stars). I need something a little more uplifting right now.

I read Abarat and have been thinking of rereading it, as I just came off a Harry Potter high from rereading all seven of those. I'm not sure how well it will hold up in comparison - but maybe comparison isn't fair since the story is so different? Thanks for the review!
