To celebrate the paperback release of Bite Me: A Love Story by Christopher Moore, HarperCollins was nice to supply me with a copy to give away to some lucky reader. Even better, in my opinion, mistakenly sent me a hardbound copy of the book. Sweet, I know.

Before you can say “OMG! WTF?” Tommy and Jody are sprung from captivity, and join forces with Abby, Steve, the frozen-turkey-bowling Safeway crew, the Emperor of San Francisco and his trusty dogs Lazarus and Bummer, Abby’s gay Goth friend Jared, and SF’s finest Cavuto and Rivera to hunt big cat and save the city. And that’s when the fun really begins.

Bite Me is the third book in Christopher Moore’s vampire series following, Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck. I know you may be tired of vampire fiction (I know I am), but keep in mind, his vampire series started back in 1995 before this whole Twilight-thing started. I hold Christopher Moore and his books in pretty high regard. I have yet to read a book by him that I did not like.

Teddy over at So Many Precious Books, So Little Time is having a giveaway where you can win one of five copies of Supreme Courtship by Christopher Buckley. I read Buckley’s Boomsday and seen the film Thank You For Smoking which is based of a book he wrote. Both of which were pretty good.

Penguin has been nice enough to give me the opportunity to give you the opportunity to win a copy of Paper Towns by John Green which is being released in paperback next week (Sept 22). In case you have forgotten, I called Paper Towns a “fantastic novel”. In fact, after re-reading what I wrote about it, I used “fantastic” twice to describe the book. Hm, I guess need a thesaurus. Anyway, It’s a great young adult book that you should check out.
